The RYA Day Skipper theoretical course provides beginner skippers with a comprehensive introduction to navigation, meteorology, sailing regulations, safety, and many other key areas. The course syllabus is designed to equip you with the necessary knowledge and confidence to plan and execute your dream voyages.
Learning to responsibly command a boat and lead a crew is no easy task—the practical Day Skipper course is considered one of the most challenging courses in the entire RYA framework. A new skipper must simultaneously manage multiple responsibilities while also anticipating the next steps of the journey. By dedicating sufficient time to theoretical preparation, you will gain valuable extra time during the practical course to practice key maneuvers. This course is conducted in English.
Graduates receive the RYA Day Skipper Theory certificate. Participants already enrolled in our practical course are eligible for a 10% discount on this online course.

Fundamentals of coastal navigation and boat management, including chart plotting, position fixing, course setting, weather forecasting, tides and currents, as well as International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (IRPCS).
