First Time Offshore - Adriatic
Sail with us beyond the ordinary. Experience a type of yachting you’re unlikely to encounter on a typical holiday—wave-riding techniques, sail trimming, and watch rotations, all in the familiar and accessible waters of Croatia. Get a taste of offshore sailing.
Do you have experience with standard recreational sailing in the Adriatic but are craving something more adventurous and sporty? Would you like to try offshore sailing but don’t feel confident going alone or don’t have the right crew around you? Join us for the “NYS Offshore Experience”, led by an experienced RYA instructor who will teach you everything you need for this type of sailing.
You’ll learn how to plan navigation, organize night watches, and handle the yacht in bigger waves on open seas, among many other skills. Of course, there will also be training in harbor maneuvers or any skipper-related aspect you’d like to improve. The specific sailing plan will depend on the weather forecast and the agreement between the crew and instructor—but the goal is to sail as much as possible in the most varied conditions.
This cruise is also an excellent preparation for the RYA Coastal Skipper and RYA Yachtmaster courses
Information and conditions
6 days (7 nights) on board, the course starts on Saturday evening and ends on Friday evening, with the option to stay overnight until Saturday morning
The ability to handle an extended stay on a boat typically begins to develop around the age of 12
Obviously, none 🙂
At least some sailing experience is recommended
Much depends on the weather, but the goal is to spend as much time offshore as possible
