Shorebased Theory Courses
National Yachting School » RYA Sail Crusing Courses » Shorebased Theory Courses
NYS Skola jachtingu Brno is our training centre in Czech Republic. Here we run the shorebased RYA navigation courses and other support courses.
It is not a strict requirement to complete the shorebased course, but having learnt the theory of navigation, meteorolgy or seamanship before you come for the practical course is extremely important as there is not enough time when we are alrady on the boat. In the classroom our patient instructor devotes plenty of time to explain all parts of the syllabus and you get enough opportunities to practise on various exercises and examples.
By limiting our class sizes we seek to maximise your involvement in all aspects of the course, and use slides, instructional videos and friendly open discussion as key learning aids. After succesfull completion of the final test, you will be awarded the appropriate course completion certificate.
Course:
- RYA Day Skipper Theory 1
- RYA Day Skipper Theory 2
- Basics of tidal navigation
- RYA Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Theory
If you are not sure which course would be the best for you, please do not hesitate to contact us for advice.
